That's exactly what I did. Like tommarrow I did maps for people for free until it completely consumed my Guild Wars life (and most of my normal life as well). So after taking a break, which wasn't really much of a break as people were still asking me to check maps in game, I decided that instead of becoming a hermit and just refusing everyone who asked (and having these guides means everyone asks), that I'd set up a service to do so. This way I can at least have some gold to accompany my eyestrain and headaches, which I never have time to make in game like a normal person.
It's a bit more than 5-10K, but I guarantee that if you checked 100 maps in the course of a couple weeks, or spent weeks trying to find the last .7% on your map, you would agree that the service actually seems to be a bit cheap.

I may not have as much experience with checking Elona as tommarrow has, but I think the number of maps I have checked in general far out weighs that.
In the past month alone I have checked 108 maps. That is since I have been charging for the service, before that when I was doing them on a volunteer basis, I was easily checking 4-5 times that number, and have been doing so for around 8 months. A rough estimate of that would equal 3-4000 maps. And the main maps I check are Canthan, which are the hardest to check of any of the continents.
So if you guys want your maps checked I'm your man.

It's not the right post, but I take the time to thank all the people involved in these incredible guides to achieving Grand Master Cartographer.
Livingston, I dreamt many times of sending you my Canthan map and asking you where I shall improve, but I took my courage with both hands and applied all of the valuable methods.
The GIMP superposition worked in the end, although it was grueling task! but I did it OMG I did it.
I feel stronger now to attack Elonia which appears a lot easier imo
Thank you all, starting with Livingston.

I downloaded trial version of Photoshop and try to scan my map. Now I have 97,2% explored, but I can see some more differences between 100% map and my map.
First I want to explore all without Tombs, which is 2% of Elona. Wish me good luck.

Tommarrow already said he's not doing anymore. Maybe you should double check the areas. He can't really just make you another map, it will just have the same areas.

Oh hm, never saw that before. I may use that as my Warrior should be approaching the frustration mark of not being able to uncover anything else soon.

W00T!!
Finally got it. Honestly, I thought this one was harder to get then Tyrian or Canthan. Dunno why. Most people say Elonian is the easiest...
Thx a load to Tommarrow, couldn't have gotten it without you.
